Prayer request...the first bump in the road

Soooo, when I first started the adoption process, my facilitator told me "enjoy the process, but expect delays." Well friends the first delay has occurred. Due to the closing of Guatemalan adoptions and the L-O-N-G wait for China adoptions, many, many, people are transferring to Kaz. My Dossier Preparation teleconference call was cancelled this week by LMI and I was told to hold off - indefinitely - on completing any more paperwork since the Kaz consulate is so backed up. I probably won't even get another update for at least a few more weeks. So, please pray that the phone call comes soon :-)

In other news, the basement remodel is almost completed and will make a nice playroom :-)

Thanks for the invitation! I look forward to following your journey, especially since we'll be on it together it looks like.

Yes, there are always delays. The first time, ours happened after we received our region assignment. We waited 4 months for our LOI, which was a long time at that time and others who received the same region assignment at the same time received their LOIs within 2-4 weeks! So we lived our lives in 2 week increments during those 4 month waiting for the LOI. When we received it we had only 2 days to get on a plane. No joke - you really need to be prepared for anything!

Well, our philosophy is that the berries always taste sweetest on the top of the mountain!

Thanks for the invitation! I look forward to cheering you along. Yes, delays can be so aggravating. And the delays thus far in this second journey make things uncomparable to my first journey that took exactly one year. It makes me realize that my child probably isn't even born yet. Pretty amazing to think of it that way. Take care, Susan

ask grandpa if political muscle from a U.S. senator is useful.Sometimes its very helpful to have someone speak on your behalf. again, sometimes all it needs is an inguiry on your behalf.just a thought.

Thanks for the invite! You will definitely be in our prayers, and hopefully one of these days you can connect with Marcie, who can answer all of your question.
